if you wash your hands before you eat cadbury chocolate then odds on it will taste the same as the old recipe

http://gentleworld.org/hidden-animal-fats/

Animal fat: by any other name it would still be the same vile substance.

Tallow, suet and lard are all well-known forms of this awful ingredient, but what about glycerin and glycerides, and what does it mean when a label lists ’stearic acid’ or ‘palmitic acid’?

The short answer is, if you have any concerns about ingesting or using substances derived from someone else’s body fat, then it would be wise to do a little further investigation before making use of something containing any of the aforementioned ingredients.

Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Myristic Acid, Oleic Acid and Palmitic Acid are all names for fatty acids – produced from natural fats and oils – that are added to soaps, cosmetics, personal care products, and some foods including margarine, shortening and other baking ingredients.

http://www.muslimconsumergroup.com/personal_care_products.html?panna=2

Face cream is Mushbooh if they contain following Ingredients: New information is provided by a sister from Nivea company: I have the following information for you sent to me by Nivea in regards to animal derived ingredients.

Ingredients used in the NIVEA range are, wherever possible, from non-animal sources such as vegetable based Glycerin.

However there are specific materials where an effective alternative is not readily available.

Please find these ingredients listed below:

1. Lanolin, Lanolin Oil, Lanolin Alcohol, Glyceryl Lanolate, Cholesterol, Cholesteryl Oleyl Carbonate, Cholesteryl Nonanoate, Cholesteryl Chloride - derived from Woolwax (from sheep wool).

2. Sodium Tallowate - derived from Tallow (from cattle).

3. PEG-8 Beeswax, Cera Alba (Wax), Mel (Honey) - derived from Wax or honey (from bees).

4. Carboxymethyl Chitin, Ostrea/Oyster shell extract (from crustaceans).

5. Hydrolyzed Silk, Silk Powder - derived from Silk (from silk worms).

6. Hydrolyzed Milk Protein, Sine Adipe Lac, Casein, Yoghurt Powder, Sodium C8-16 Isoalkylsuccinyl, Lactoglobulin Sulfonate - derived from Milk (from cattle).

7. Carmine/CI 75470 (colour) - derived from Cochineal (from beetles).

8. Hydrolyzed Keratin - derived from Keratin (from cashmere goat or sheep wool).

9. As formulations do change from time to time, we would recommend that you check the ingredients listing on the product that you wish to use for the ingredients listed above, prior to use. - 01-06-14 05:59:59 MCG

Response: Ingredients from Bee wax, Sheep Wool, from silk are Halal.

But red color from Cochineal or Carmine is Haram because all insects are Haram in Islam except locust. Ingredients from non zabiha beef are not Halal.

All dairy based ingredients are only Halal if they are Halal or kosher certified. Please avoid all those Nivea products if they are made from above ingredients. January 2014

What are your thoughts on Cadbury, their sales have fallen into a huge heap in the second half of the year.

Is it a result of Cadbury changing the formula to remove pig fats to gain Halal certification that has affected the texture and flavor of their product,

or is it a back lash from people boycotting Cadbury due to the Halal certification and sending a message to them

The Hobart Cadbury factory will close its doors for five weeks at the end of this year.

https://www.google.com.au/search?q=cadbury+pig+fat&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=1CGWVNeJHoTq8AWC_YGABg#q=cadbury+sales+figures+australia+2014

what ever the reason it would seem they have made some huge mistakes that have effected sales

Not till the 25th though

To be classed as 'real' chocolate it has to have a fairly high % of cocoa butter in it doesn't it? (as opposed to the 'fake' chocolate that has none.) I can't see big Brand name chocolate using pig fat as fillers.

I thought it might have been because they tried to replace some of the cocoa butter with palm oil and people hated the change. I think that was trialled in Tasmania. They have gone back to cocoa butter now.

I don't know whether they ever used pigfat. That just sounds like propoganda to me.

Also, Lindt would have snaffled quite a few of their customers now that they are in all the supermarkets.
