What is this symbol??

It has started appearing in my emails. I dont know how I got it there and I cant get rid of it.

Its in fornt of my cursor and if I press enter a few times I end up with several of them.

Anyone know how to make it disappear?

Its a pilcrow used to indicate the end or beginning of a new paragraph - you are probably using outlook as the email programme - there is probably an option to turn off using word as the editor

Yes I am using outlook, I cant find an option to turn it off though.

The easiest way to disable this is using the keyboard: Ctrl + Shift + 8 will toggle the formatting marks off and on. You can also disable (or enable) this from the Toolbar or Options dialog.

To make the change stick: After turning the paragraph marks off, close the message. Do not send it.

From within the email you are writing, try File, Options, Editor options

on the Display tab uncheck the options for tab characters paragraph marks etc. That should save your settings for all emails from then on

more involved than control shift 8 but sometimes that doesn't stick

try it and see what works for you 🙂

Thanks guys, I just googled stawka and found the same solution and it worked....yay. Was beginning to thing I was stuck with the blasted thing!

It came back

Power went out and when I restarted computer it was back. I finally managed to find it in the settings and its not selected...I hope that doesnt mean I'm stuck with and have to turn it off for every message.
