https://community.ebay.com.au/t5/Community-Spirit/My-day/m-p/1693863#M454659 <P>Morning all. &nbsp;PD I bet those chooks got into a bit of a flap when the tree dropped.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Anyway, all is okay in the scheme of things. &nbsp;Just hope the guys have learnt something from it.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>We had a tree taken down at the old property. &nbsp;Apparently, some grub/borer gets into the old stump and roots, and then travels to other sickly trees and attacks their root systems too. &nbsp;We ended up having to remove 2 more due to their weakening state.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Haven't been doing too much around here, too hot, too humid, too lazy.&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>I read about your new works going on in the garden, Bushie. &nbsp;Don't know a whole lot about strawberries. &nbsp;I remember a nearby market gardener turning&nbsp;his 5 acre plot into&nbsp;a farm of hydroponic strawberries at waist height, and then netting the whole area from the birds. &nbsp;Gosh, it must have cost him a lot to set up. &nbsp;But obviously worthwhile in the long run. &nbsp;Because it was still operating for over 15 years. Till the developers arrived, anyway.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>I've seen some in old plumbers plastic pipe - both horizontal and vertical. &nbsp;I've seen old metal guttering along a fence with them too.
