Even the veggies bought from most Farmer's markets arent picked fresh that day. I was reading an article re the produce sold at them, what you "think" is fresh, often isnt. I bought a pumpkin at Farmer's market a few months ago, cut it open and it was rotten inside, went back the next month and told the seller, apparently they had been picked months ago ...
