My husband and I used to say that...unfortunately I have now been without him for 7493 days...and I have missed him every single one of those days.

Yeah I thought of that. It's kind of selfish to hope that the other person lives longer than you, because then they will have to go through the pain and the grief of losing you.

P.S. Did you marry them? 😉

No, I didn't marry her.

I think one day she realised that she had run out of nice things to say to me, so she stopped saying nice things to me.

When my Mother was dying I watched her grieve for my Father, who was equally grieving for her.

If either of them could have lived that one more day they would have.

Now, they are together, until the stars burn out.

I never close my eyes to the cruel realities, but I don't live looking over my shoulder for them, either.
