Magpies aren't a problem here, it's aggressive seagulls.

We have swooping Magpies here every year. The children thought it was hilarious trying to outsmart the Maggies. They painted big eyes on the back of their bycicle helmets, and the ones that had to walk used empty, two litre icecream containers as helmets with eyes painted on them as well.

Must have worked good enough to scare the Magpies away from their heads.

I used to watch the magpies swinging on the towels on the clothsline.

They used to steal some of the washing and play games with them in neighbouring yards.

The owners used to leave the items on their mailboxes and anyone who was missing stuff just checked the street maiboxes.

I love maggies.

They share my wee doggies food in their bowls on he deck.
