Problem with spellchecker here on this forum

I have a problem with my computer; it misses letters. No, it is not me; it misses a letter and I hit it again and again, and nothing happens. In this moment it is mostly s and d, but any random letter can be affected and often it refuses to do capitals at all. Everywhere else I simply type and then correct with spellchecker. or copy an pate the letter where it belong. On this forum that complicates things even further, because after I select the correct word, it places it in totally different position. Then I have to find it and cut and paste it where it belongs. Sometime whole sentence gets jumbled up.

oes anybody else has such problems?

I try to avoid spellcheckers.

Have you considered buying a new keyboard? They normally are not expensive.

It's a laptop. I guess I could use a keyboard with it. Or I could get a new laptop.

Ours is a few years old (replaced a faulty one) and has a number pad.

Thanks for posting this kopes. I remembered I'd had a similar problem but couldn't remember the fix, which as it turned out in my case was due to the Fn key needing to be toggled, then all was ok.
