Call eBay explaining seller posted from NSW but ask for a call back. (Those reps tend to be a little better)

I started a dispute with a seller as the item was not as described and was faulty also. The return was accepted but the seller wouldn't prepay postage return. The address for return was in New York, USA. The package was posted to me in Australia from a Post Office Box in NSW. Why should I pay again for postage to USA for an item delivered as not advertised? Why shouldn't the seller be required to pay for that?
