Is Ebay using bot accounts?

Twice in a row I have bought items and a month later no communication from the seller and no item. I get my money back but I am wondering if a lot of accounts are bots to inflate the apparent number of sellers. Both of these sellers were rated over 99% and nothing had to go overseas: Australia Post from Australia to Australia. Tracking was useless. I just don't know if I want to buy from Ebay anymore if I am going to only get a month of stress out of it.

Can you post one of the item numbers?

eBay's policies don't allow bot accounts, but if you post the item numbers, we might be able to work out what's happening.

No. What would be the point? It would just turn buyers offside, which is the last thing ebay wants to do.

What you have had happen sounds fairly unusual, especially from Australian sellers.
