The seller offers to combine postage on multiple items, I put 2 in the cart and requested the new total. No combined postage in the new invoice and no replies. What can I do please

Because I have volume discounts available, for example, I can't issue combined postage invoices.

Depending on how the seller has their postage set up, it is not always so straightforward to combine.

For instance, I use several shipping policies for things of different weight/size.

If someone buys 2 things that have the same postage policy, then the second item only costs an extra dollar. However, if someone buys items that have different postage policies, then it adds the 2 lots of postage together.

Generally buyers contact me beforehand and tell me exactly what they are looking to purchase. I can then advise them that there MIGHT be a refund on the excess postage, but I will only know once I have been to the PO and gotten the final weight. I never shortchange myself upfront by lowering the postage when the parcel might weight more than anticipated at the counter.

Contact the seller again - tell them exactly what you are looking to purchase and ask them if they can refund the excess once it has been posted, rather than upfront. This is a more reasonable approach and does not put the seller at a disadvantage.

If the seller does not respond, you may have to purchase elsewhere. It's also possible that something has happened to the seller and they are unable to get back to you right now.

Yes, contact the seller again.

I have bought from a seller who combines postage a few times, and once (only once) I had not received the invoice after 3 1/2 days, so I wrote again and she apologized for the delay and sent me the invoice straightaway. Sometimes sellers can't go online, or they can't send an invoice immediately and it then slips their mind, so the best thing to do is to politely ask again.
