OP, head’s-up — there isn’t a “wanted” facility on eBay. That includes its being against eBay policy to request things on the community boards. There used to be the option to post a wanted listing, but it’s been many a grey hoary year since that was the case.

But… your question is probably more of an information-desired one. Here goes!

I can suggest a few possibilities. Yardley’s English Lavender… Estée Lauder’s White Linen… and some people say Chanel’s Chance Eau Fraîche evokes something of the clean linen essence (although admittedly it doesn’t to me).

None of the above have a powdery/soapy note, though… That’s not something to my personal taste. The “new” Chanel No. 5 (well, the current one, not the original) seems to me more powdery than its original, so you may want to check that out. The new (again, not original) Soir de Paris by Bourjois was quite powdery, if I recall correctly… I bought some for my mother as it was the first perfume she ever bought and had vivid memories for her.

Basically, though, why don’t you pop down to Myer or DJ and extend your wrist for some spritzing at the perfume counters? Explain what you’re after, and I’m sure that the staff will be happy to help.

Hmmm ....well last time you asked this question, I suggested that you ask on the Community Spirit board

as I thought it could open up a discussion for anyone interested in perfumes.

Now I see you've done that and the mods have moved it back to the buying board !

I posted this link last time as at the top of the page you can search by designer, perfumer, notes etc .

https://www.fragrantica.com/notes/Powdery-Notes-482.html

Do you have a particular perfume in mind that you've forgotten the name of, or are you asking for ideas ?

Maybe they changed the formula.

If you really must, if you find one you like you can always look it up on ebay to compare prices but if I were you, I'd head into somewhere like Chemist Warehouse first, once you know what you want.
