I bought a phone off a listing. 10 minutes later I get a call from them saying that they haven't got that colour and that I could buy it directly from them or they could send a link. They send a link to my phone, tried to sell me other junk ... and after i said I didnt care about colours or anything. The sent me a chatGPT screenshot talking about a cheaper phone aand how they could send that because they didnt have this colour either. they clearly didnt have the phone I ordered..... well appently all that is fine with eBay because even after I reported the seller they said if was fine. because what it happened off site maybe?

https://imgur.com/3i2KGTE

There’s a difference between reporting a seller and opening a refund case.

eBay will not open a refund case upon receiving a report from a buyer.
 • The report function is (ha ha, rather sardonically) to alert eBay to bad seller behaviour with a view to correcting or sanctioning the behaviour.
 • Opening a case/dispute/return is so that you, the buyer, can be refunded if the item isn’t as described or doesn’t arrive.

I echo what sandy had said. Hopefully you didn’t click onto the link. If you did, you should have a computer technician check your computer (or whatever device you used).

For buying a phone, you’ll be best off buying from an Australian business, one authorised to sell phones, who won’t try anything shonky, and who can give a genuine warranty.

The seller should be shut down completely but highly unlikely eBay will do anything at all !

Not only is the seller dropshipping fake Makita Batteries , fake phones, fake everything, he even posts with fake stamps !

And then you see positive feedback "Its ok... appears to be a knock off.. but work well" and wonder what on earth is wrong with some buyers !

And 4 ebay automated positive feedback for fake batteries !

318392475501
