10% off voucher

I am getting a message from ebay that I can redeem a 10% off voucher on a purchase till 9th October.

There seem to be only 4 main conditions listed

It has to be used 3-9th Oct

one transaction only

Using paypal

Not transferrable.

My question is this-is it applicable to anyone buying on ebay on a computer?

The reason I ask is underneath those 4 conditions, it then invites people to start shopping by downloading an iphone or android app or joining paypal if they haven't already.

I can't see a single thing in the terms and conditions that would indicate you must use an iphone or android app to make the purchase.

I have a smallish purchase I would like to make and hey, saving $3 would be nice.

But I don't have an iphone or an android, whatever that is.

I redeemed mine using ebay.com.au normally, not the app.

I bought a buy it now item, and in checkout selected Paypal, entered the code, and the discount was applied. Worked purr-fectly.

You do need to use Paypal to pay.

General information:

The 10% off code was emailed to me, and appeared in eBay messages. If eligible, it was also showing on items I looked at on ebay.com.au.

i.e. Buy it now price 44.50$

Little message box near that saying with the offer I would pay 44.05$. The discount also applies to shipping cost, if any.

Once I used the code, this message disappeared from things I looked at, as it is a once only discount.

If you do not have an email, you are not in the offer, as it is non-transferable. If you are not sure, talk to customer support. They can check your account and see if you are eligible.

Reminders to use the code also appeared at the bottom of the My eBay tab until I used it.

The discount offers up to a whopping 100$ off, so if there's something extravagant you really really do not need, you will be happy that you forgot...if not, it's luckily not that 1000$ item you were desiring so intensely (cough). How many people will be getting the 100$, I wonder?

Me too. I would want to see that gold plated faux leather Iguana in real life before plonking down 1000$ (900$ now of course).

Feel for you on the voucher thing. I saved a massive 8.20$, if that helps a little.

i coulda saved about $4.50 LOL - but it's the principle!

We don't have TV here, but I like NCIS, so always buy it when it comes out on DVD. Little crikey came and told me it had been released - so off to eBay I went and in the excitement of it all I forgot about the voucher...

then, a bit later, I went to check on her, and she is watching it in her room on the internet

No one told me you could watch TV on the internet - I have to wait till it comes onto You Tube, if it does LOL

I love NCIS. I used to be a lab girl like Abby. Little Crikey sounds so cute. There's catch up services from the major networks for the most popular shows online, but they don't have everything.

I am not sure why ebay has to put that stuff about "downloading iphone or android right now to get started" in with the information on how to redeem the 10% off. It is a bit confusing. Although my son has explained what an android is now, so we live and learn.

As for saving up to $100. haha. On most stuff I look at, I might save a whopping 27 cents or so. But I have my eye on 100 wedding bubbles and now might be the time to pounce, while I can save a couple of dollars.

Oh and crikey, they can watch movies and catch up with TV programs and all sorts of things on computer. I see my (adult aged) kids do it, but watch your download.

Hi springy, could you find out how and tell me please? The movies would be good, I asked them and they all knew about the TV, but not the movies (I don't want to pay though, is thee a free one?>

Oh, and I'd really like to watch the TV show Hotel Hell, is that anywhere?

Well, a fat lot of good that voucher offer turned out to be. I went to buy yesterday and the offer was no longer showing. It was the 8th yesterday, so what happened I have no idea.

Crikey-I asked my son about movies and his answer was that he downloads from 'lots of sites', everyone does (everyone his age, presumably, because I haven't a clue), but it is technically illegal. I had no idea. I wouldn't feel right putting up links like that on an open forum.

I will send you a private message but whether you will want to use it, I am not sure..

I've just used my voucher now. The reminder note had disappeared from under My eBay but the discount went through fine.

Hi there Crikey.

If you google channels SBS, ABC,10 or any Australian network, it is OK to watch their catch up online TV 🙂 that's legal, they have the rights to the shows.

Do not have my Paypal discount refund for the ten dollar voucher yet. Wonder if that will happen. Anyone get that?
