Have a look at this item. NEW NEVER USED EOS 6D DSLR BODY ONLY FULL FRAME + EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM LENS. This seller is auctioning a camera that is an insurance replacement that they no longer need. No problems doing that. I even put in a cheeky bid for it. However, looking at their feedback, they seem to be very lucky in that they have recieved & sold 3 other cameras that were unwanted gifts in the last few months & heaps of other camera gear in the last16 months. Yeah right. Gee I wish somebody would give me a new camera as a gift (hint hint ). I promise I'll keep it & love it & not sell it on eBay.

We used to own a camera shop so the last thing we needed was any more cameras when my husband inherited a number of cameras from his father.

Ebay did not exist then or I probably would have sold them on ebay and listed them as unwanted. Much the same happened when my father died....we had to dispose of a number of unwanted cameras, including one which had been an insurance replacement a few years before.

Not everything is suspicious.

I doubt if you could have driven any of these cameras Crikey. They were all manual SLRs and several did not even have built in light meters. By the time you carted around all the accessories like extra lenses and light meters and tripods you looked like you were off on a months holiday.

Did anybody bother to look at the listing or sellers feedback? Look at their last 3 feedbacks. I find it hard to believe how anybody could recieve so many new latest highly desirable models as gifts. The seller doesn't need the latest camera from the insurance replacement as they have already replaced it with a Canon 5D. They also sold aCanon 5D in August this year. It doesn't bother me where they are getting the cameras from - I would happily buy from them as they have terrific feedback but honestly I can't believe the unwanted gift / insurance bit on their listings. Maybe I'm just getting too suspicious. By the way ---- Does anybody know if that bridge with harbour views has sold yet?

Yes. As a matter of fact, I do.

I bought the bridge, and the Tower of London. Because I was a repeat customer, the seller also threw in a free ghost with the Tower.

If you need somewhere to live, I am prepared to make the Bridge available to you for sale, however the Tower, it's a keeper. There is a certain element of coolness in being able to tell people that you own a ghost!

if they have a lot of positive feedback then that means they are supplying the goods.

But you're right, those aren't all 'gifts'

They are either clearance from a store (though if so, why wouldn't a person say so) or quite possibly stolen property.

I wouldn't be willing to buy from them, if items are stolen and police catch up with them, the goods can be repossessed, i think.
