if you analyse the positive feedback for this seller, they are received predominantly from only two accounts. These accounts do not increase in their star rating despite multiple purchases. eBay should monitor such activities and buyers should not simply reply on feedback score but actually read the feedback and note who they are from.

is that all? what would that achieve? if you look beyond page 8 that's not the case. so for you to say " they are received predominantly from only two accounts" is so wrong.

Multiple feedbacks from the same buyer within 7 days only count as one 'point' anyway and no amount of doctoring is going to help if people are prepared to still buy from a seller with such bad feedback.

if you can't see anything wrong in it then good luck. I hope you do not undertake such practices yourself to bolster your positive star rating. Simple logic would dictate that if customers are giving negative feedback then the seller has to increase the posiitve profile by getting the same account send positive feedback until such time as the negative feedback seems trivial.

if you are concerned there is feedback manipulation going on, you can report the seller for such. Hopefully by reporting eBay will investigate whether the accounts leaving all the feedback have any relationship to the seller. Sometimes they will take notice, other times they won't.

I have previously reported a seller for blatant feedback manipulation (amongst other violations) and it was very clear what was going on. The seller was for example *ABCDE and the one leaving the feedback was *ABCDE1. It was a new account so they were using their other account to increase their feedback score.

EBay shut down the ABCDE1 account, but the feedback left by it remained. That seller just created more accounts for both shill bidding and feedback manipulation and eBay got sick of reports going in and chose to do nothing.

Sometimes it can seem that one or 2 sellers are leaving all the feedback. I buy from one seller who mostly sells buy it now items, but runs around 10 auctions a week. It's not unheard of for me to win 8 or more of those auctions every week for several weeks in a row. To an outsider, it could appear that most of their feedback is being left by me and could look suspicious, especially if their but it now sales are a bit slow. Nothing untoward going on, I just like their stuff........plus we are in different countries!

If in doubt, report. The seller will never know a report has gone in unless action needs to be taken against them. Action could involve permanent suspension of their account, a listing limit, only being able to list buy it nows - no auctions.

You said these buyers feedback number doesn't seem to increase, does the seller leave feedback for buyers? You can check in their feedback left for others. if they do leave feedback for buyers, mention that in your report too that it seems strange they leave feedback for everyone else except these buyers. I can't check as the mods have removed the sellers ID.

it still confusses me why ebay allow more than one id on there site what does ebay have to gain

all i can see is problems , i have had buyers come and pick up there orders and pay for them and say also bla bla order thanks , why wouldnt he just use one account mmmmmm

I'll give you one instance where it's better to have two accounts.

How about if you buy and sell on the one account,

then your buyers can see where you get your stuff.

Why would they buy it from you, after you've marked up your profit?

They can just buy from your supplier, and get it cheaper, can't they?

Have you tried using Spellcheck on your computer?

You are unlikely to see a flying saucer on ebay but if you refuse to believe what the longtime posters tell you, why do you keep coming here and asking questions?

then all i can say is you are very honest. if u mark it as paid and shipped and the "buyer" leaves feedback the actual money changing hands does not need to be verified by eBay. like COD stuff. no offence intended. pls accept my apologies if you found my comments offensive. thanks

The reason the member's ID was removed is because it is against board policy to name other members. Reposting the ID will undoubtedly see sanctions applied to you.

It's all good. If you were going to get a slap, it would have come through as soon as the post was edited by the mods. The rules are pretty basic. No naming and shaming of buyers or sellers. No bullying or harrassment. No advertising items for sale. No spamming. They're the main ones.
