Not as exciting now as it was in the days of the good od bidding wars where you could get 12 bids in the last few minutes and items would double or triple in price....those were the days.

When you have put an item up to sell on auction, how can you see the bids when it gets close to the end?

I believe the seller cannot see the bidding at the end of the auction.

The advice I have seen on the boards is to log out of your account and watch it that way.

I am sure a seller will correct me if this is wrong.

If you want to watch it count down, you can do that on the phone/device app. Otherwise, just do as Lyndal said and log out. Another option is to just open a different browser that isn't logged in. Saves you having to log out.

why do you want to watch your auctions end? just for thrill or is there a reason?

I would say that having a feedback score of 11, it would be for the thrill. It's always exciting when you haven't sold much.
