Will ebay buyers be able to see the tracking number if i put it in the drop down option list in SOLD?

you could write the tracking number on a post card and post it to the buyer.

Are you saying you had an actual real life buyer? I can't imagine you'd need to upload tracking numbers for the items your mates bought.
