Closing a store & subscription fees

After reading a previous thread .. Selling through Stores vs Auction I too am considering closing a store i have under a different ID..

My question is after I close my store will ebay refund any unused portion of my subscription fee?

Sorry, but no. They will charge a pro-rata amount if you open a store half-way through the month, but if you end a subscription (for example) the day after a new month, you'll still pay for the whole month.

I'm fairly certain that store subs are calculated on a calander month basis, even if your billing cycle is on the 15th rather than the 1st of every month, which would mean the best day to end a subscription is on the last day of any given month (if you do cancel, don't forget to unsubscribe from any other extras, eg Selling Manager Pro, as they're not free without a store).
