PayPal advice when item is sold

When a buyer pays your PayPal account do you get the advice from PayPal right away that a payment has been received/ pending. Do you wait for this before shipping your item?

sometimes you do, sometimes you don't....best to check your paypal account yourself

Always send to the address in the notification PayPal send not eBay's.

Otherwise zero protection.

The notifications are late from time to time, but usually only half a day or so.

You can also check that the dollar sign is in colour in the 'Selling/Sold' option under 'My eBay'. It will be grey if you are still waiting for the payment.

This week we are currently seeing a 2-3 hour delay receiving the PayPal email after the eBay notification. Possible technical glitch.

Possibly.

But they aren't being sent until several hours after the event according to the time stamps.

If I need to post before I receive the email, I check my Paypal account. I never trust eBay to give me the correct address.
