question about item not received cases

For example, if i list an item with 10 days handling and 10-35 day deliver time (international economy untracked), when can a buyer begin to open a case if they haven't recieved their item yet. Is it 45 business days minimum?

Once you set your handling time ebay sets the approximate delivery date range.

The buyer can open a dispute as soon as the last date has elapsed.

So does that include handling time? For example if i have 20 days handling time, should i mark it sent on the 20th day to give extra time to arrive? Or does ebay add the handling time even if you sent it on the day of sale?

The buyer sees an estimated delivery date range when they look at a listing, based on the AP estimated delivery time plus your handling time.

That is confirmed when they buy and pay for the item.

It has nothing to do with you marking it as posted.

If the delivery time says say 3-6 days and your handling time is 20 days, The ETA showing to the buyer would be 23-26 days from the date of sale. If you then wait 20 days to post it, you're still only allowing 3-6 days for the delivery, so would be pointless having such a long handling time. If you post it the day of sale, you're allowing 23-26 days for delivery. When it arrives well before the first ETA, buyers love it!

A longer handling time fattens out the ETA. Mine is 5 days, but I still aim to post within 24 hours of sale.
