Yes, it was all submitted correctly, both weight and size. It had been weighed by their local agent. It was the last of many consignments, (I realises this has no bearing in reality) but assuming consignments are occasionally scanned - logic would indicate there was something gone wrong. I suggested that in transit (possibly through many hands) it had been put on a palletised (they say no record of this). I suggested that maybe some one had "piggy backed" an item on my consignment (May be the person who when my consignment went through their calibrating machine ???) They give no reply to this suggestion.

The main concern is that they have failed in their "Duty to act Fairly" and have run and hid under their contract. " Duty to act fairly" would mean that they would give description of the the consignment that they scanned and maybe even a picture to backup their assertions - they have failed to do this (even in this easy digital world of Iphones and any mobile that can take a picture). The consignment was a plywood box nailed together. The dimensions could not have changed by itself. Yes there must be an error but they refuse "to act fairly" and this is why I am saying be very cautious of using E-go.com.au. Sellers take pictures of items being sent, get their agent to confirm size and weight, have it signed off and dated - but I do not think this would do any good when the "Recalibrate the consignment.

BEWARE of E-Go

I have been using this carrier business for the last two years with no problems, Same consignment each time, same in weight and dimensions but this time I am told they have calibrated my item and it was understated both in size and weight so they take an extra $259.00 I get a lovely email saying what they had done stating to contact them if this is a problem. I reply telling how this could not be so and all I get back is a standard email (in effect " Tough") and now no responses from them at all. I am just putting this out there and maybe get some advice.

Most logical question is did you cube out correctly in the system ? and if you are sure all the details were correct may be best to give them a call. It sounds like a computer problem on their part

I would send them email stating that as I know my weight and size were correct, confirmed by their agent accepting the goods, I will not be paying anything extra, and after 2 years of using their services will be looking for another carrier.

By the way how much was the freight you paid?
