selling internationally - ebay.com or ebay.com.au?

If your buyers mostly come from oversea, will you consider sell on ebay.com or still sell on ebay.com.au?

I have a Featured Store selling computer part, ebay.com's fee is a lot cheaper., the final fee is only 4% while ebay.com.au is 7% or 5% (if over $200)

To stay in ebay.com.au, the postage will be calculated by ebay, rather than a set fee. it's 2 days now, I still haven't make the decision.

US fee

I wonder how search result will be changed to oversea buyer and local buyer.

Don't eBay.com charge FVF on total price including postage? A hefty fee from Oz to US?

Your choice. I don't sell OS, much less list on OS sites.

Disregarding total fees for now consider the dvantages of listing on the US site if most of your buyers are from there:

You will feature more prominently in searches to US members.

Now the disadvantages of listing on the US site:

You will receive payments in US$ and will have to pay a conversion fee to withdraw it.

You will pay the FVF on the total sale amount including the delivery charge.

You will be subject to the rules of ebay buyer and seller protection, much more stringent in some ways that Aus Paypal seller protection.

You will have to use flat rate postage as you will be unable to use calculated postage as that will only give you the option for the US postal system.

You will have to be very clear about the items being located in Australia and that they will take a bit of time to arrive, many US buyers thing Aus is an off shore island like Hawaii as the listings are in dollars!

Do the math and see if it would be worth it financially to list on the US site taking into consideration all of the above.

I don't mind to receive paymen in US and the conversion fee.

FVF does make a different now. I didn't know postage is included.

I think I will post on AU for the first month and see.
