I'm in the same boat - I have been charged $650 in ebay fees from 15 May to 15 June. Total sales for period = 30 items, $900 made. On my seller dashoard it also says that my fees to date are an average of 24% of sales price!!!

I have tried briniging this up with eBay 4 times - each time I just get told that there are Seller Listings on my account, then got told that my invoice is made up of Insertion Fees and Final Value Fees - still doesn't solve my issue of how much was charged.

Trying to go through invoices - no mention of any free listings per month even though I have used the 100 free listings offers and also made sure I have stuck to my 40 free items limits.

Have just checked account and I am already up to $120 this month for selling 10 items total value $500.

I have been a regular trademe user in NZ - you prepay your account (much easier), pay $1 to list an item, with relisting free until item sells - plus final value fee is around 3% of sale price. Call me biased, but it is so much easier and cheaper to use - I am getting caught out constantly with massive ebay fees no matter how hard i try.

@*e*ate* wrote:

I have been charged $64.95 in ebay fees, when I have not sold over $7500 or 100 items, and this is not final item charges, this is Listing fees!

100 items or $7500 in sales are limits placed on most new(er) selling accounts, and don't mean that you can sell up to 100 items or $7500 for free. All non-store accounts receive only 40 free listings (FVF are still charged) per month, with the occasional promotional extras (by invitation and acceptance).

cargirl, if you download the full detailed invoice every month you will see the itemized account, every single individual fee you have been charged will show.

did you use 'add ons' like subtitle, more than 12 photos etc... they all add up pretty quickly.
