razor blade post?

I have a vintage sharpener with a spare vintage razor blade. I would have thought this was a banned postage item - the spare that is, as they always make us pack in suitcases when flying. but if you google vintage gillette blade blue I see o/s in canada sells to aussie. is it banned can I only send by road within australia the spares?

I can't see why it would be a banned item to go through AU post , I've send scissors and purchased chef knifes online with normal Australia post delivery with no issues.

I don't think it would come under a prohibited item but you can check

The old tale of smuggling razorblades into jails for inmates in birthday cakes, zelly 🙂

not meaning that jail is likely if you send a blade to a buyer in the post, if it not a restricted/forbidden one.

Razor blades are not allowed in carry-on luggage for airlines but that is only because it could be used as a weapon.

There may be plenty of gremlins in Australia Post but I doubt that they will be using weapons made from the contents of parcels.
