In retail, it stands for Gross Merchandise Volume.... (i.e. the total revenue).

It sounds like they're suggesting you have a maximum sales value for 12 months - have they restricted your selling activities at all?

Ohhhh, I see (I'm a little relieved, LOL, as my first thought was that they weren't letting you list at all or something, as a lot of sellers have monthly selling limits and can't list/sell beyond that - or that they'd inadvertently admitted to one of the "silent" limitations, where they let you list, but don't necessarily let the listings be seen).

I guess it's a bit like when they used to end the free listings a member could access as soon as they gained Power Seller status, only with this, they don't openly disclose what the sales volume is before they're stripped. On the one hand, I kinda think fair enough, they don't really owe anyone free stuff, as such... but on the other hand, 'cos it's eBay and the way they go about things (not to mention the fees on everything else), it seems a bit miserly. o_o

Particularly when paid listings cost a minimum of $1.50 in Australia, but only 30 cents in the US.
