9 years a regular seller and they say what??

Conditions of Sale:

1. As much as I would love to be able to personally hand deliver your item - I do not work for Australia Post. I cannot be held responsible if they fail to deliver your item for whatever reason. Any concerns I am happy to do registered post as an extra cost to the buyer.

2. Due to the number of non paying bidders with under 10 feedbacks, please contact me before bidding if you are in this category. Otherwise your bid will be cancelled. Accept my apologies in advance. 3. If no contact or payment is made within 5 WORKING DAYS then an unpaid item report will be lodged and item relisted. 4. Occasionally I come across what I consider an unreasonable buyer. These buyers are blocked. SO if you are blocked from bidding do not contact me and whinge about it. There is a good reason I have done it. Ebay have taken away nearly all of the seller's right but we still retain this small one.

4. I describe items as accurately as possible but sometimes I may miss something so please b4 leaving feedback send me an email. I am sure a solution can be found.

5. Enjoy the Ebay experience. My aim is to make every transaction as positive as possible for both parties.

Just sounds to me like a disgruntled seller that has been stuffed around by buyers one time too many.

Whilst not the approach I, or many other sellers, would adopt, I certainly would not poke fun at the misfortune of others to have been pushed to add such terms and conditions to their descriptions.

Given that an increasing number of buyers don't seem to bother to read descriptions as eBay has buried these on the mobile app (and the proportion of buyers using their mobile to purchase is only increasing) ...

I am truly not sure that it even matters what a seller puts in their terms and conditions and that they would lose much business anyway TBH.

I recall reading through the TOS of a seller who had clearly been antagonised one too many times, they were a bit more entertaining (read: tongue in cheek) about it though.

It was a few years ago now, so my memory isn't too crash hot, but there was a long list of reasons a buyer will be blocked (including - ask a stupid question, you'll be blocked etc).

But my favourite bit was about postage. There was one bit that was along the lines of if I charge $10 for postage, then postage is $10. If I discover you live next door to me, I will bundle your purchase and toss it over the fence, and you will consider it delivered and be grateful for it.

His FB left for buyers was similarly awesome. I do remember this one word for word:

This buyer bought my item.

Basic rule-of-thumb" is to not buy where the terms and conditions are longer than the description of the item itself.

I tend to browse the vehicle listings a lot, and some of the T & C's there would make you run a mile in the opposite direction.

Mind you, I did put up one like that myself for a while - buyer was insisting on paying me with a Western Union money order, my listings after that noted that I didn't accept them as payment, nor did I accept sea shells, blankets, beads, livestock, or first-born children (unless they were over the age of consent and screechingly hot)...

The seller has possibly had enough of problem buyers and is making it pretty clear . Might save them the trouble of inexperienced ebayers who dont read the rules and regulations. These discussion boards have plenty of examples of both sellers and buyers who act first then dont like the result.

Not how I would do it but each to their own.

I must admit that I was doing a similar thing at one stage because I got so pee'd off at buyers not reading all my listing text and/or not fully understanding what they were buying.

They would simply leave negative feedback without any comms first.

But as time went on and the feedback went down the page, and things went smoothly again, I felt silly and removed it.

It's just a few rotten apples amongst a very good bunch of buyers who can have the power to drive us crazy.

I hit the back button really fast when I see that a seller describes things as accurate as possible, or to the best of their ability. I usually read that to mean they make "a few mistakes", and as too many sellers don't think they have to be responsible for their own mistakes I prefer to avoid the possibility.

I especially run very fast in the opposite direction when a seller says a buyer can never make a mistake, yet it's okay if they do! I see it quite often where sellers expect payment virtually straight away but they don't expect to post straight away. I'm not saying everything should be done to suit only the buyer, but if a seller thinks they're the only one who matters they won't get my business!

Seller can't even count to 5 because there are two number 4's.

Whilst the information and advice that may be given is relayed in a parrot like "polite" fashion, it is invaribly flawed, either on a actual policy and/or acutal procedure basis, overall content or just missing some essential information or details.

lol "professional" check out the length, detail and complexity of the terms and conditions of eBay (as well as the "tone") and apply the same standards to them as you do a small seller that does not have billions at their disposal.

As (a depleting) number of regulars frequently post - "if you don't like the rules you have a choice" ... don't buy from those sellers that have terms and conditions you don't like - go elsewhere ... lol ... please
