bugger this, 'ave to sign in again every time ;\

found this bit 'o info

"29mm brass 19 th or early 20 th century issued by Osborne Garrett & Co Ltd, hairdressers' sundriesmen, Birmingham, Warwickshire.

Barbers tokens were used to prevent fraud by the cutters. Clients would have to buy the token in advance and then hand it to the barber in exchange for the required service. This would reduce barbers carrying out services for cash in hand at a reduced rate. At the end of the day the tokens would be handed in and tallied. They are said to have been used in South Africa and Australia as well as Great Britain"

don't know of 'em, per'aps the info's useful, though

This is the earlier OG&Co token design. Later types had the company name vernacularized to "Ogee".
