Could you post a picture of the signature and number as someone might recognise that even if they don't recognise the particular bear?

Just got this cute bear, he is signed and numbered on foot, although I feel signature is barely legible, if at all. He is numbered 57/300. Fully jointed, has growler. He reminds me of a Steiff but can find no trace of button ever being in his ear. He is a little over a foot tall.

I am not a bear person so I will just make a couple of points.

Obviously the signature would be a great help, but if it can't be deciphered, it can't be useful.

You could check eBay completed and current listings for "limited edition teddy bear" - apparently lots of people made / make them - the edition of 300 may help you here.

And try Googling images for the same. Hopefully you may see something that looks similar, particularly with the label on the foot (I am assuming it is a label.)

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable may come along. Good luck.
