Fake doc martens?

Hi, i recently ordered this pair of 1460 Vonda Doc Martens from a UK-based seller.

I received the package today and the shoes look completely fine from the outside but i’ve noticed the stitching on the insole looks a little different to the ones that I own already. They’re completely black and don’t have any stitching around the outside.

Does anyone have any insight as to whether these are real or not? Thanks!

Comparing your old pair with a new pair, does not make either pair a fake, and if so which pair is the fake.

Unless you are an expert on Dr Martens shoes, and authorised by the brand to declare an item fake, then your claim is meaningless and you will have to have the items certified by an authorised Dr Martens representative.

You can always raise your concern with the seller, in private, or research your responsibility regarding naming, shaming and defamation.

Hi, if you read my post I was not at all claiming that the shoes were fake 🙂

I was concerned about the possibility, having recently read reviews of the store from customers with complaints. I can’t find any other flaw or any issue with the shoes, box, or packing.

The insole observation was also based on pictures of Doc Martens on the internet.

I was just wondering if anyone in the community had more experience regarding these shoes so I could make a more informed decision

You asking for -

the small number of eBay buyers who visit the boards,

the even smaller number who buy Doc Martens online,

a miniscule number of people.

So what is your actual question?

As stated, you need to have the shoes certified by a Dr Martens Authorized person. Or resolve the issue

in private.

There are some general guidelines here https://guides.brit.co/guides/spot-fake-dr-martens-boots/particle-9, but in order to get a refund (in case they are really fake) you will need to have the shoes certified by an authorized person, as others have said. Personally I have no idea as I have never owned a pair of these boots.

PS: They seem to be a reputable seller. I am sure that if you have concerns you can talk to them directly.
