Maybe the buyer is away and has not seen your emails.

Why are you involving Australia Post if you don't know if the item has been received yet?

You seem to be looking for trouble.

If the item does go missing the buyer has 30 days from the estimated delivery date to make a claim through ebay but 6 months through paypal.

Have you thought that by posting this thread you could be giving an unscrupulous buyer the idea of making a claim when they have received the item? You have announced to the world that neither you nor Australia Post knows if it is lost, received or still in transit.

Hi, a DVD was purchased on the 7th of December and sent on the 9th of December “post is closed during the weekend”, and item has yet to be delivered, I’ve sent emails to the buyer and contacted auspost and a clear answer was not given, anyways, I have been trying to get in contact with the buyer since the 17th of December and they are yet to respond and auspost wants to know if the item has been delivered but the buyer is not responding and won’t let me know if they had received the item or not, I’ve tried to solve it but the buyer is simply not responding, my question is, if buyer asks for a refund some day soon would they get it? Knowing that I’ve tried to talk to them for the past 10 days but their not responding.

Sometimes an AP tracking scan is missed.

There is a good chance the buyer has the item and only has 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to open a case.

I would forget it unless you hear back from the buyer.

Why are you chasing the buyer? Why does AP not know if it was delivered or not?

No news is good news. If they didn't get it, they would very likely let you know. Most buyers just want the items they purchase. Few wish to get into D&Ms with the seller.
