Messaging - buyers cannot reach me

Hi,

Would appreciate it if anyone has anyone ideas or guidance on an ongoing (for months) issue I have had regarding messaging. If a buyer has not purchased from me, but wants to ask a question, it seems I am not able to be contacted by many potential buyers. A message comes up to them that tells them I am not accepting messaging. I have changed nothing, done nothing different and have been using ebay over 20 years as a seller. I have attempted so many times to get Ebay to sort it out, so please don't recommend contacting them - as my guaranteed 24-48 hour call back from IT or a supervisor...well, that is going on 7 months and still waiting after numerous calls. Hoping someone has found a fix for the same or similar issue as it is really affecting my business. Thanks so much in advance!

earl_dean, if you haven’t already done so, can you double-check your Manage Buyer Communication settings? Link: https://www.ebay.com.au/cnt/ManageBuyerCommunication

Just in case you haven’t taken a look at those settings lately… and ensured that “Send you messages on eBay while they're shopping” (under What your buyers can do) is enabled with YES. You might even want to try the “turn it off and then on again” for that setting.

If you’ve already gone through that (and I suspect you probably have!), then I’m not sure what else to suggest.
