Can't attach pictures to ebay message: 'Invalid File Type'

Is anybody else having this issue? Over the last couple of days I've been trying to attach some small (under 500 kb) JPEG images to an ebay message but every time the upload fails and 'Invalid File Type' shows up in the image placeholder.

I haven't attempted to upload any pictures in ebay for several months, last time I was able to do it without too much trouble but it's not working at all for me now.

Whether I drag and drop the image files or hit the 'attach files' from your computer' button, the same thing happens:- the upload starts off slowly, gets to about 7%, then pauses for a bit, then shows a rapid upload to about 90% before a red 'Invalid File Type' prompt shows up in the image placeholder.

I'm using Safari (only browser I've got).

Was thinking about putting some ads up, but if I get the same problem uploading in a listing template naturally I won't be bothering.
