Buying as a Guest

I have an ebay account but bought an item as a guest (Buy IT Now)

It hasnt arrived( 40 days late) and I can't get any help from the ebay site or chat.

I want my money back but can't get any customer support. I will never buy another item through ebay again!

Are others being ripped off too??

You have up to 30 calendar days from the estimated delivery date to report that an item hasn't arrived

Sorry, but it appears you have left it too late for a refund.

And ebay can't help outside that date.

However, if you paid by PayPal, you could try a claim for Item Not Received with them.

Buyers will only be 'ripped off' if they fail to open a dispute within the time limit

Which also applies to buying as a guest

Wait past the time limit and you have no leg to stand on with eBay

You have 180 days to file a claim with Paypal and if you didn't pay that way, you could try a chargeback with your bank.

Have you contacted the seller at any stage ?

Were you given a tracking number ?

Contacted the seller 3 times- no reply. No tracking no.

PayPal are following up now.

You don't need to contact the seller to open a dispute

I have been trying to get help from eBay for the past 2 weeks. EBay make it so difficult that either the 30 days passes or clients simply give up trying.

I didn’t ‘wait’ till past the 30days. I attempted help from eBay for at least 2 weeks prior. The ‘help’ they provided was useless! Sent me in circles, endlessly.
Frustration led to declining mental health.

My husband took over my plight with the same results as I got!

Paypal are investigating now. But I have learnt that buying face to face in store is the only way to go!!

you dont need to contact Ebay or the seller, just open an item not received case, the day after the EDD, and the onus falls on the seller.
