As always the health and safety of the eBay community is our number one priority. With the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, we want to remind sellers of some key safety tips when offering local pickup on listings.

Can I pack and ship it?

While we love to offer sellers and buyers the flexibility to utilise local pickup, please consider defaulting to a postage option if your listing can be packed and shipped easily. No printer? No problem. With eBay printer free, you can ship and send your item without printing a postage label or travelling to the post office.

Keep contact to a minimum

If you are offering local pickup, be sure to minimise contact by placing the item outside in a well-ventilated area and remember to wear a face mask so the buyer can pick up the item in a socially distanced manner.

Clean your items

If you are selling used items, make sure you clean them prior to sale.

Make sure to wash hands

After the item has been collected make sure to wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap or use an alcohol-based rub.
