Soon, I will try to become a Seller and a Buyer on ebay.com.au

For the time being, I am a professional seller on ebay.fr and I would like to extend my activities.

Before making my registration, I check the local rules and laws and I rely on your community for receiving some answers to my questions.

My first question concerns the rules about customs declarations and releasing from the side of an Australian Buyer.

I read on the web that under 1000 AUD, the goods HAVE NOT to pass to custom control.

That means that the buyer in Australia may receive the goods ( under 1000 USD) directly at home, without having to release them.

Is it right and is the threshold of 1000 AUD still valid ?
