Question Damaged Item in Packaging & Shipping

Hi

I successfully bid a nutribullet on ebay on Thursday (25/09/2014) and the item was delivered on Monday. The packaging was good but when I opened up the box and inspected each individual component and I discovered that the main component, the nutribullet itself had got a dent on its body casing. This was very disspponiting as the condition was not made known in the seller's advertisement. There was a slip left inside by the seller stating that she apologied for the damaged packaging and she re-packed the item to avoid further damage. But from the picture, it seems that the dent was preexisting before it was packed into the box.

As this was meant to be a birthday present for my daugther and you could imaging how she would feel when she find out that her present that her dad gives her is a damaged gift.

Kindly advise my recourse in such situation.

Ref: 251654290521

che-ch7
