After completing an auction a buyer has messaged me, "Ummm i believe i askd to withdraw my bid awhile ago".

He/She requested to withdraw five days before the auction finished and I replied "No problem. Go ahead and cancel it."

She obviously did not know she could do it or she would not be asking you; she may have thought your answer odd, but assumed the bid is cancelled. Explain to her you meant she should cancel herself, but you are happy to let her off without strike, all she has to do is to click on the agree button of the cancellation request you are sending her. 🙂

If somebody asks about canceling their bid tell them to do it themselves, and tell them how to do it. Make sure that they understand they have to do it.

Of-course, you can do it for them, but why would you? i think it is a good idea to let them do it, so it shows on their ID.

The only time I would cancel their bid would be if it was in the last 12 hours and they bid more than hour ago, and therefore they cannot do it themselves.
