Question can someone look before buying? in Selling on eBay

I have an item listed and have received a message from a potential buyer that they want to come to my home to inspect the item first. To be honest, I'm a little wary of saying yes - are there any rules for or against this type of thing? Thanks.

It is perfectly normal for a buyer to want to inspect an item before purchasing, and in fact most sellers of pick up items welcome inspections before a buyer bids.

If you refuse to let a potential buyer look in advance and they win and then inspect and the item is not to their liking, they can just walk away without paying, and you are stuck with the fees if they refuse a mutual cancellation.

Its totally up to you of course, but if they are coming to your house to pick an item up after purchasing, what difference is it if they come now?
