Bought item as a guest but can't contact seller

I bought an item as a guest and I need to contact the seller as it is the wrong item. When I follow the directions from ebay about contacting a seller after buying as a guest, the system just keeps looping me around and asking me to sign up for an ebay account. I do have an ebay account already, but this item is not listed in my purchases because I inadvertently bought the item as a guest. Consequently, I am unable to contact the seller. Any suggestions?

Check the order confirmation emial you recieved when you bought as a guest and open the order details link from there, you should see an option to contact the seller or start a return from that page. If that does not work, use the Find your order option and enter your order number and email adress, and if it still keeps looping then contact eBay suport and ask them to link the guest order to your account.

In order to use the "order details" link in a guest order email, it is necessary to first sign out of your current eBay account; the link will not work if you are signed in already.

If you are having trouble signing out or the link still does not work, try right clicking on the link and choose to open in a private or incognito browser window.

You would have used an email address when buying. That is the email address to which your order confirmation would have been sent.
