I joined eBay yrs ago. Bought & sold , 100% satisfaction feedbacks for more than 600 transactions.
However I joined using a fictitious name & address for privacy.
Now eBay wants my ID and true address and bank account details. I am HAPPY TO PROVIDE....BUT HOW DO I?
The pages for this info already have ( false ) name & address filled in.... The pages area for bank account numbers already has (false) name entered. So I can't enter the account numbers... Please advise...

·2 years agoI'm not sure if that would work Sugar since it would be effectively changing both the full name ( a false one) and address (again a false one) to a completely new identity.

·2 years agoDon't ask me how I know, but unless things have changed in the last 2 years it will work. Unless they have already signed up for managed payments, that may be different, but logically it would still work under those circumstances if they also changed bank details, but I suspect they aren't signed up..
PS. It wasnt me.

·2 years agoJust a PS to my earlier comment, they were signed up for managed payments, and they successfully changed the bank details to suit the ""new"" persons details. They did the name change first, than went thru the change of bank details. But as I said 2 years ago, so no idea if it still works,

·2 years agoYou can't on the account with the fake name
Managed Payments has been the only option for sellers to be paid for well over four years
You cannot use the fake name and address
You could open and new account with your real details
Everything must match exactly across eBay name, name on ID and name on bank account
You do not have any feedback as a seller on this account as a seller, and it shows only 53 items sold in 14 years, so not really worth worrying about (buyers can only ever get positive feedback, so meaningless, plus feedback as a buyer does not count for anything as far as Managed Payments go)
You would still be considered a 'new' seller in any case as you have not sold in so long, so will have the 30 day hold on funds no matter what
