The listing is a complete copy and paste from elsewhere with one image showing DHL Express. The listing itself shows AP Domestic Regular Letter !

Take away their feedback for buying and eBay's automated positive feedback and there's not much left.

·1 week agoWow, I never actually opened the ad, just saw the title mentioned in the feedback.
But that's a lot of red flags!
I am just surprised the seller isn't aware of why his account might be running into problems. Or maybe he is, and just thought everyone would confine themselves to answering his question. Give him some insider hints he had not thought about on how to get his money quicker.
He may not have expected members to examine his actual feedback or sales in detail as it is obvious ebay itself doesn't.
If potential customers bothered to read feedback, I think most who are after a genuine Makita and other items would steer clear. And probably several have. We never get to know about the ones who wake up to the scam and don't buy.
But a massive problem is that ebay itself labels so many of these sellers as top rated sellers etc, which I am sure gives plenty of new customers confidence to go ahead and buy without checking or further ado.
That top rating badge should be much harder to get, it should include ongoing scrutiny on feedback before being awarded or retained.

Like the scammers on the real forum who would all come and post asking how can they scam better
I didn't even have to look at their listings to know what they were, just the way they 'worded' their post was enough. it is not worded like someone who has English as a second language, it is worded like a scammer

·1 week agoI don't know why, I should know better after all this time, but I am still constrantly surprised when someone turns out to be a deliberate scammer.
But at least I would never have bought from this person as I always check feedback. And his has a really bad pattern.

eBay's giving positive automated feedback for FAKE items , including Makita !
Because "something" was delivered to "someone".
And calling them Top Rated Sellers - One of eBay's most reputable sellers

Honestly, this person came on asking for advice & I wonder if they even bbothered to read any of it.
They were repeatedly told counterfeit items were a problem but it doesn't seem they have taken one iota of notice.
Their latest neg is interesting. I saw that in the ad, the makita was actually advertised in the title as genuine Maitka, brand new AU stock.
Then when the customer complained, thebuyhut tried to fob them off by saying it was the 'international version'.
I have no sympathy for this seller, he obviously knows he is selling cheap knock offs but he doesn't care & is prepared to keep misleading the public in his ads.
Pity ebay doesn't take more notice of these sorts of problems.

I had no idea they were selling medicines as well-didn't check out their feedback in depth-but that alone should earn a ban. That is, if ebay is aware.
They could easily set up the system to be aware-no ARTG number, no listing in that category etc-but whether they do that or not, I don't know.
My suspicion is a lot of buyers don't complain, or not to ebay in the form of a claim. So if you don't complain, ebay assumes all is well or well enough. It is in ebay's interest to give these sellers a positive auto feedback because it makes the seller look better, it bumps up their %.
Ebay could do much better.

This person breaks every policy under the sun and is free to keep on doing so on literally every listing with eBay having their back all the way

·1 week agoI have to say, being on this forum over the years has made me much more wary about sellers.
But I am constantly amazed by some others-friends etc-who have such trust at times. Or who don't check things out before buying etc
It is a shame ebay doesn't do more to weed out the bad sellers as eventually it will erode trust in their site if they are not careful.

And that was before I even picked up on the amount of automated feedback at first, not till I read sandy's comment.
You seem to be selling fakes plus in some cases, poor quality items. Immediately I'd be thinking, drop shipper with items from China.
You've obviously had enough problems with your account, or have made enough refunds or whatever, that your account has been flagged. Ebay is very automated, it won't have been a human looking into it, it will be something in your account that has triggered this.
If you want to get back to being paid quickly by ebay, you're going to have to wait it out for a while, just put up with it till you build up time with no problems. Maybe have a look at what you are selling and withdraw items that are giving grief eg counterfeit Makita.

You clearly have four negs and 7 neutrals and 208 of your 300 positive are eBay automated meaning no input from the buyer
And that feedback is from longer than 5 months ago
Plus the photos lifted from other websites and obvious drop shipping
I am not surprised your payments are getting held
But if you want help from other members, you need to be upfront and honest
You can rectify it by being a good seller
