The method of payout doesn’t change if you close your account. It’s still Managed Payments… or nothing.
The funds will be on hold while any potential dispute/refunds or fees owed are dealt with. Once that is clear, eBay will try to make to make the disbursement of whatever remains to the bank account to which your eBay account is linked. If you haven’t linked your bank account (and if there’s been any verification issue), I understand that the money will end up (eventually - a matter of years) being held by the appropriate State government. You’ll need to comply with all identity requirements and establish right to the funds to claim.
I strongly suggest that you ensure that the relevant bank account and ID details are complete and verified now - and that you belay account closure until you’ve been paid out, to avoid complications.

There is no reason your funds will be released earlier than the 14-30 days you agreed to when you listed
And, as said, no seller can close their account for two months after they have made a sale
