Trouble is, this person just does not want to know

They have been posting for months 'eBay is scam', have several times been given detailed information on what they needed to do and were given the direct link to open a dispute (back before it was too late for them to do so)

Their poor choices are all on them

But what gets me is their insisting on repeatedly posting totally false comments

Other buyers who find themselves in a similar situation need to know the do have the power to do something, rather than being put off taking the steps they need to take because one person preferred to spam the forum with nonsense than take a couple of minutes to read the advice they were given months ago and open the dispute

And all this time later, they are still posting the same thing 

If I were a buyer who did not know how things worked and I read all their  comments, I would be thinking 'why bother then, eBay won't help me'

We know their comments do not reflect reality in any way

New buyers are likely to be turned off doing anything because of those false comments

I wanted to report that wrong item was sent after the delivery date elapsed.

But have taken your advice through return request.

Ebay Requires Photos to be provided when you claim an item isn't as described, Ebay also Encourages sellers to try and Resolve the issue without a return, of course there are sellers they intentionally drag it out by starting ridiculously low and slowly up their partial refund offer, this is common with dodgy sellers selling counterfeit goods, Ebay doesn't require sellers to accept a return when a buyer doesn't read the product description and then tries to blame the seller for their mistake when they don't get what they were expecting instead of owning the mistake and trying to work out a solution with the seller, which most honest & fair sellers will happily work with you on a solution be it a return or something else if Buyers make a mistake and if Seller os Genuinely at fault good sellers will own up to their mistake and work to rectify the issue. Long Handling times can mean that the seller isn't just selling on Ebay they could be selling elsewhere or work a 9-5 job or even just face situations where they get a massive amount of orders so it takes longer to get orders out, a seller could have a 10-15 handling time and take just one fay to send, they are merely allowing themselves that leeway, of course you have the Sellers supposedly located in Australia but are actually Chinese Drop sellers that don't have any stock on hand or are located outside of Australia but use a 3rd Party to receive the orders then slap on a Australia post postage label and send it to the customer so the customer thinks the order came direct from Australia (these are also the sellers that will keeping offering a partial refund instead of a return as a return would oust them as to where they are located) these sellers will usually upload a tracking number thats not active untill the 3rd party posts the item

Please stop telling pork pies. After 17 years, you should have a pretty good understanding of how eBay works... and that's definitely not it.

If you receive an incorrect item, you open a return request immediately, using the reason "Doesn't match description or photos". There is no requirement to wait before doing so... and the estimated delivery date is completely irrelevant. Why on Earth would you want to wait for an estimated delivery date to pass before commencing the return/refund process? That's just ludicrous.

I can assure you that eBay is not "a scam" (as you put it). In fact, based on my experience I'd have to say it's nigh on impossible for a buyer to be scammed on eBay - unless, of course, they make a conscious decision to allow themselves to become a victim.

Which you allowed

You did not have to play with the seller, but chose to go along with them

100% your choice

You had the option not to buy from a dodgy seller to start with, and you did

You had the option to open a dispute the first time the seller told you nonsense and you chose not to

You could have taken the advice given to you by several members, and you chose not to

What you chose to do was post over and over that eBay is scam

You we’re not played

You played with the seller

And then expected you would be covered by eBay anyway

you have spent so much time posting total nonsense and it would have take you less than a quarter of that time to check feedback before you bought and open a dispute

It happened because you allowed it to happen

Not only that, you are now trying to falsely tell other buyers they do not have a choice

So stop

 BUYERS do all all the tools, choices and all the power

Stop posting nonsense to try to turn other buyers off using those

You are not helping others get their issues resolved which they CAN by posting these false comments

They were your poor choices and you need to take responsibility for them

These Chinese sellers would be very profitable for eBay, but the buyers they choose to rob lose money, time and sanity dealing with deliberate scammers that are trying to mentally break buyer so they get inflammatory.

Ah countess, you are to polite, "nonsense", is far from my choice of words to describe the OP and their solution.

I want to report this seller to ebay for feedback extortion now, but do not see any option to do so.

There is no option to do anything until the estimated delivery date is expired.

Shouldn't we be able to do this now and refer to the sellers ebay message system correspondence for evidence to take action now?

Given this aspect of complaint is not reliant or related to the longest estimated delivery dates!
