You are correct nothing will change

Because buyers choose to keep supporting such sellers

100% up to the buyer who they choose to buy from

All the information is easily available before buying

Takes a few seconds to check feedback

Far shorter time than the time wasted as a result of buying from them

As sandy said, we are not mediators. We are not associated with ebay, we are buyers or sellers, just like you.

I can see you haven't used ebay a lot.

Before you ever buy something, there are a few things to check. Don't just read the ad. That's a start, but double check the delivery date. If it is a month away, the odds are the item is being sent from overseas.

Then check where the seller is located. Not where the item is located, where the seller is located. It is not in the ad but if you click on the seller name, it should take you to another page where you can click on the'About' tab and that will show you were the seller is.

While you are in feedback, have a look at the negatives & neutrals. Click on 'See all feedback' or classic view and you should be able to click on just the negs then.

But with your current problem, it all hinges on the expected delivery date of your item.

If it is overdue, then do as sandy suggested and open an ebay claim for item not received. Ebay may send a message (which isn't generated by a human by the way) to try to resolve things first with the seller. Ignore and proceed with your claim.

Follow it up too and if the item hasn't arrived, you should get a  full refund. Don't let the seller fob you off.

Your complaint is  a fairly common one, there are loopholes where some sellers can do this but what they  still have to do is get the item to you on time, it can't go missing. You only get 30 days after the estimated arrival date in which to lodge your claim so open one immediately if your item is late.

No, other members are not the mediators, no more than you are

We are not eBay and eBay will not do anything about sellers in China

But buyers do not have to support them and help keep them in business

It showed the estimated delivery date before you purchased, is it overdue?

If so have you opened an item not received dispute?

Have you reported the seller to eBay for location misrepresentation ?

It is not up to other members to do these things for you

Better yet, do not buy from dodgy sellers in the first place

It clearly shows they are registered in China

It clearly shows their rubbish feedback
