Good evening. I am looking for a vintage cookbook. It is part of a series. There were three series in all. They are called the Australian Women's Weekly menu planner cook books. Series one had 12 issues. Series 2 had 12 issues. Series 3 had 10 issues. They are a small size vintage paperback cookbook. The one book I am looking for is perhaps in series 1, or two. Not series 3. I cannot recall the book number. In the book is a recipe called 'Savoury scone cake' It was on page 2 or perhaps 4. If anyone has this particular recipe book in their collection with the above recipe please let me know. I would like to purchase. Thank you.

·1 year agoThere seem to be quite a few of the menu planners on sale on ebay.
All I can suggest is when you see a seller with series 1 or 2 listed, you could message them and ask if any of them contain that recipe, probably on page 2-4.
Some may be prepared to look it up and let you know.
I suppose you could also write to the Women's Weekly and ask if they could let you know which series & issue that recipe was in.
Your other option is to look online for similar recipes. There are quite a few recipes out there for larger scone cakes, both sweet and savoury. If you can recall some of the main ingredients, you may be able to find a recipe that is somewhat similar.

·1 year agoOP, unfortunately you can’t post (or list) a want-it request or ad on eBay, including on the boards.
Quoting:
❝Want ads, place holders, or offers to trade are not allowed.❞
Years ago, want-it listings and posts were permitted on eBay, but it changed as part of a specific policy.
You can set up a saved search; if your desired item is listed, you’d be alerted.
