    Bogus Suppliers operating on Ebay

I recently tried to buy a watch on Ebay. Ebay administration even sent a email saying "Did you like your watch?"

But the watch was never sent and it never was going to be sent!
The company were obviously going to

keep my US$466.79 unless I chased the money.

    My point:
I did get my money after playing the endless eBay email game...
After recently Googling the company name many reviews on their company website read as follows:

Seller claimed to be shipping item and never did. Received refund from EBay. Buyer beware.

Ebay admin couldn't even confirm my product postage ....what so ever!!!

SO why does Ebay let these sellers sell through Ebay?

Conclusion ..I will never buy from Ebay again, because eBay Admin can easily see the reviews relating to this crooked company and Ebay is still happy to use them!!!...Making both companies dishonest!

    Amazon here I come...

    Steven

You ask why do Ebay allow sellers like this to sell on Ebay.

I'll reverse the question, why does Ebay allow buyers to buy on Ebay if they don't read the sellers feedback or do their own due diligence.

Basically support said dodgy seller, helping them stay selling and then complain that the dodgy seller is still selling

Ebay goes to a bit of trouble to authenticate sellers these days, to ensure they are 'real'.

But they don't look into each business as such. They are not going to be able to tell you about the products, their quality or anything else.

What they have put in place, for buyer protection, is a money back guarantee so that if an item doesn't arrive within about 30 days of when it was supposed to, you can go to ebay and open a claim for your money back.

If your item does arrive and it is seriously not as described in the ad, you can also apply for money back.

But until you do that, ebay has no idea how the transaction went. They let sellers advertise on their website, but after the sale, all the rest is between the seller and buyer & ebay will only step in if one of those people goes through the due process.

In your case, the seller you bought from has an overall reasonable selling reputation over several years, but before you buy from anyone on ebay, it is a good idea to check out their feedback. That's what it's there for. If there are some common problems that seem to be recurring, you can decide for yourself if you want to buy from them or not. The last month's feedback is not great but there seems to be a good reason for that & I don't think the seller is bogus.

I noticed in some feedback, people said they had not been refunded. Just writing that in feedback won't do it, they need to open an ebay claim.

In short, ebay lets these sellers sell because they have authenticated the seller as far as ID goes and they have a system whereby the buyer can be refunded if something does go wrong.

    See ya

One less person with no clue what they are doing or how to use the site and blame others

    eBay do not vet listings.

You had all the information about the seller available to you before buying but choose to either not look or ignore it and buy anyway

There is no 'endless game' you open a dispute and follow through with it, endless story and easy as

eBay emails are automated and sent to everyone who has the option ticked in their setting, admin did not email you, they have no clue who you are. Bots sent you an email because you ask them to in your settings

eBay does not sell anything, arrange postage nor have any clue if there is an issue when buyers like yourself choose not to report an issue by opening a dispute

You choose not to leave the seller neg feedback

You chose not to check their feedback before buying

Blaming everyone else for your poor choices

Naming and shaming, is against  forum policy, so the sellers details will be removed and your post will be meaningless.

I  assume you missed sellers replies to FB, regarding illness and time in  ER, and how ebay have been so understanding of their current issues.

In any event, no one here or at ebay will  care one iota about your departure.

    Bye

I doubt eBay will miss you.

    You got your money back.

Why do you think you will have better luck buying high-end items on Amazon?

Why did you not check out the seller before purchase, rather than after?
