I have had an issue with a seller, I purchased a Lenovo server from them and they failed to ship it, failed to respond in any way to multiple attempts to contact them. after about 2 weeks I had to raise an item not received case. they still ignored it. it ended up getting automatically escalated to ebay. they came back a couple of days later saying the "case has been closed in my favor and they have submitted a request to a team to get the refund processed due to the value of the item. that was 10 days ago and the case is still showing as open with them. I since reached out to support again and they gave me the same line that they are closing it in my favor and put it back to the back end team to approve the refund.
we seem to be going around and around with this one and not getting anywhere and its a lot of money for me to just be out of pocket and loose. Given the amount im out of pocket with this one I see no other option other than to put a formal dispute with my bank over the charge.
Has anyone else had this sort of issue?

·2 months agoThe seller has utterly appalling feedback, PLUS 9 revised feedbacks (so negs they had changed to positives) and 51 eBay automated feedback (positives given by eBay bots with no input from the buyer)
And you can see from the neg comments that others had had the same thing happen with this scammer
A bank chargeback is the last resort, so just be sure with eBay before you go that route
*If * for whatever reason the bank rejects it, you have no options to go back to after that otherwise
I have not heard of a not received dispute getting escalated automatically, usually the buyer needs to ask eBay to step in if the seller does not respond to the dispute
Have you spoken to a supervisor rather than just the base level staff who are typing from a script?

OP2 months agoA case automatically escalates after 3 days if the seller doesn't respond at all.
I did reach out to ebay via chat, Im not sure what the level the support agent was but he mentioned that the first one that emailed the escalation through stating that it was "closed in my favor" didn't actually close it. so they said they did and escalated it again.
However its still showing as waiting on ebay response.

·2 months agoIt is my experience that high value items take between 14 and 30 days for the refund to be processed. I can also confirm that the case will not show as closed until the refund is processed.
It's very frustrating, but waiting at the moment is your only option. Just remember that if you start a chargeback with your financial institution, you will void your buyer protection.
