The eBay customer support is abysmal to say the least. I wanted to purchase a phone, approached eBay customer support expressing concerns over the seller's profile and genuinity, i was assured the seller was legit and should proceed with a $999 transaction. Phone purchased and payment issued via PayPal. A tracking number was provided, a week later it was all marked as delivered, yet NO phone. Contacted the delivery provider who advised the tracking number was valid, an item was delivered. However the item was NOT addressed to me. turned out the tracking number was a SCAM. eBay was advised a case was raised, 3 days later my case was CLOSED without any investigation even thought i provided all correspondences and evidence from the courier company. I finally managed to get my money back from PayPal who were awesome.
DO NOT use eBay unless your payment provider facilitates online purchase protection. eBay is torrid in this regard and will NOT back you up where you need it. this organisation is NOT the same as they used to be, the platform is full of scammers and i wont be surprised if eBay was part of it all.
PLEASE BE AWARE.

No need to keep dragging up old threads to post the same thing
eBay is all about the buyer
If your only real issues is you have to wait a week before you can leave neg feedback
eBay is 100% about the buyer
It is not going to 'die'
You need to take some responsibility for your own buying choices and not knowing how to use the site
