EBAY DENY MY REFUND. CHARGED ME FOR MY REQUESTED REGISTERED POST BUT LEFT IT AT MY DOOR NO SIGNATURE
Summary: campkimby discusses an issue where eBay denied their refund despite being charged for a registered post with a signature requirement. However, the package was left at their door without obtaining a signature, which led to this dispute. Various participants (twyngwyn, sandypebbles, etb321, lezned-toycollector, and *casey*) engaged in the conversation, but their responses are not detailed in the post.
I am irate that ebay can preach high and mighty standards and policies have the gaul to charge me for a security measure to ensure i recieve my item and then not give that instruction to the courier who leaves it on my doorstep against my specific instructions and it gets stolen. how is that fair, i dont even think it complies with australian retail law i will goto the ombudsman, i have been refused right of appeal and just dismissed and out of pocket $528 AUD. unacceptable after 17 years i will no longer use, support or promote ebay but actively deter and discourage as many people i know from ever wasting their time with this disgrace of a souless corporation. your not a community ebay your a school of sharkes feeding off the poor. you make me sick.

eBay International Shipping
eBay International Shipping removes the hassle associated with international shipping. eBay handles tracking, customs clearance, and returns
You can follow your package online all the way to your shipping address when we upload tracking information. You will see 2 tracking numbers because the item will be shipped via two shipments. First, it will be shipped from the seller to the U.S. domestic shipping hub (first tracking number). Upon receiving the item, eBay will manage the shipment directly to your shipping address (second tracking number).
eBay is responsible for everything related to the international component of your purchase. This includes setting international shipping costs, managing international transit and other logistics.

·1 year agoeBay don't sell anything, don't post anything, don't offer shipping methods, don't engage logistics companies, and don't charge you for security measures.
Based on your statements which indicate a general lack of knowledge and/or understanding of the eBay platform, one simply must ask... were you communicating directly with the seller (not eBay) without opening a request, or did you open a request which eBay closed in the seller's favour?
Any advice you receive here will vary depending on which steps you've taken to reach your current position.

·1 year agoThe theft of packages from the doorstep, ie the' Porch Pirate' situation is only going to get worse with time. Hopefully it'll never get as bad as in parts of the US. If access is easy and packages are visible from the street I'd consider a Doorcam or a 'Beware of the Dog' sign.
I think I have some understanding of the motivation of the delivery person. If your a contractor getting paid per package and if you can only reasonably deliver a package say every 20 minutes, that's 3 an hour, 21 a day. Not so many. So if there's a package where you have to knock on a door and wait to get a signature, or the address is on the other side of the city, or you have to use a toll road or even just if the traffic is bad, then you'd be looking for shortcuts.

·1 year agoYour beef is either with the seller, or the courier, not eBay.
What is the item number?
