Ebay is not responding

I have been charged GST twice and when complained eBay promised to refund me within 5-7 days. That was October 25th 2025. Today is 11th November 2025. Everyday I've been asking them - everyday they say to wait 24 hours....so not sure what to do... The refunds is 230 AUD - so it is substantial mount of money for me

If you are expecting a GST refund of $230, then your purchase is well over the $1000 limit for low value imports, and GST is therefore payable at the border upon entry and will include additional collection fees and any applicable duties, normally works out at about 25% plus

Thanks for the response - but your comment is not related the issue raised. eBay has already charged me for GST at the point of sale. Then DHL has charged me again GST before delivery. eBay requested me to pay DHL and stated that they will reimburse. I am chasing that

If you're charged GST at the border and at the point of sale, you must seek a refund of the GST paid at the point of sale from the supplier. Australian Border Force can't make refunds of GST paid at the border. Before they refund the GST paid at the point of sale, the supplier will require proof of payment of the GST paid at the border.

yes, correct eBay asked me to pay DHL GST so that the goods can be released saying that eBay will reimburse me. But I cannot get eBay to process the refund...they kept coming up with excuses...!
